If you’re a true fan of Rap/Hip-Hop and have done your research on the roots, you know that the recorded founding date in August 11th, 1973. Coke La Rock was the original master of ceremony at the 1520 Sedgwick Ave event on this date and he pioneered the start of what would known as the Rap/Hip-Hop music & culture we all love today with DJ Kool Herc back in August 11th, 1973.

Hip-Hop celebrated its 50th birthday on August 11th, 2023. Now ahead of it’s 52nd birthday, Hip-Hop’s 1st MC, Coke La Rocked performed his original 1970s Rap in South Atlanta, GA for Recording Business during his Summer 2025 Live Interview, Meet & Greet, & Q&A Session at the Atlanta Theater (which we sponsored).
