A rhyming dictionary is a reference tool that groups words by their ending sounds. Unlike a regular dictionary that defines words, a rhyming dictionary helps you find words that share similar phonetic endings — useful for songwriting, poetry, rap, and creative writing.

Perfect rhymes (also called exact rhymes) share identical ending sounds from the last stressed vowel onward, like "cat" and "hat." Near rhymes share similar but not identical ending sounds, like "cat" and "bed." Slant rhymes (also called half rhymes) share only the final consonant sound, like "cat" and "lot."
